I have worked with Stephen on three large projects now, and will come back to him for all my future projects. He is the contractor you hire if you want it done once, done right, and done beautifully. Stephen came in under budget on my last project, even with a change order to correct shoddy work that was done on the house before I bought it. Stephen‘s crew are also the ultimate professionals. When the job was done, you would never know anyone had been here, except for the beautiful, new giant sliding glass panel door leading out to my backyard where there used to be just a wall and some windows.

"We used Longhouse Construction after my wife and I purchased our loft condo in North Park in Portland, Oregon.  I contacted Stephen to give me an estimate on the remodeling that my place needed and he was there within a couple of days and finished the work (which was on an extremely rushed timeline) within the required time-frame.  The budget was right on.

Luckily for me we found Lighthouse Construction to be the perfect 'one-stop shop' that we needed.  Stephen suggested materials (which we agreed were perfect for my loft) and was very accommodating as far as changes I requested during the renovation process - including our delayed desire to have additional walls painted.  I'm not someone who likes to get involved in the details of home renovations and I felt very comfortable letting Stephen and his team take care of everything - and we're THRILLED with the results.

"We tore out a really outdated stair railing with the thought of replacing it at some point with something more modern. Fast forward almost 5 years and still no railing was installed.
Now we want to sell our house and found that we needed to install something so that we could pass inspection. We looked at several options and could not wrap our heads around building something ourselves - we are definitely not contractors and not very successful do-it-yourselfers. I called and put feelers out for several contractors with no real bites. Thankfully, Randy reached out to us and offered to send Stephen out to give us a quote. Stephen came out and took a look at what we did and was so great - he didn't laugh at our handiwork. He promised us a quote by the following day and told us that he could build and install something within the same week.
We received our quote and signed the paperwork... it was that easy. Stephen and his helper came out and built us the most beautiful stair railing. They were so friendly and unbelievably fast.
